My name is Darren Usher and I am the President and CEO of Aim To Beginn, LLC. I am the inventor of The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy! I am amazed at what this has grown to be!

My business partner and I have taken a small step back to kind of regroup, reorganize and reassess. I can tell you that in doing so we seriously wondered what would go on with our product and concept. We both wanted to keep the outreach and mission going, but after 3 years thought it was time to reassess the situation and make sure we were still making the impact we are so proud of.

I can tell you that I am AMAZED! My product, what started as a plaster concept in a garage, is still growing strong and uniting so many people and organizations. I am very proud of this. More than you could know.

I feel as though I need to reset the deck, so to speak. I want each of you to know the background of our efforts and what we seek to accomplish in 2010 and 2011.

First, the concept of The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy was one to keep the atrocities of one man in the mind of those that love animals. That’s it! We are a cynical society and after hearing of the atrocities and extent of the abuse, I wanted to make sure that this event, the enormity of the situation did not get swept under the rug like so many news stories do today. Especially those stories that involve famous people.

My efforts had highs and lows. Organizations like the NFL and Michael Vick tried to shut me down. But I persevered. Why? Because I believed in what I was trying to accomplish and would not be pushed aside or dismissed.

Fast forward to 2009. What a following! I had no idea how many other people, organizations shared my same vision. More importantly, I had no idea how many great people there are around this Country and World dedicate their lives to help neglected, abused and dismissed animals every day! The stories I have read and been a part of sincerely touch me. What a great person it is to care for those that cannot care for themselves!

Now in 2010 the mission is revived. My business partner and I took a little sabbatical, (although my partner kept FB and other sources up to date), to reassess what we wanted to do with The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy. Were we supporting our original mission to Raise Awareness and Give Back as honestly and successfully as we could? Were there still supporters out there that we could help? Was there still a thirst and interest in our plight? All questions that we sought answers to. Genuine answers.

What we found is AMAZING! You still reach out! You still have the fire and passion to identify, denounce and rise up against those that mistreat our beloved animals. You LOVE your pets and defy those that do not treat them with respect. You are proud of your four legged family members and take pride in showing it. We love that! That love, pride and vengeance against those that seek to harm is a huge motivation to us. We keep going because of you.

Our mission in 2010 / 2011 is to continue our efforts. Through sales of The Official Vick Dog Chew Toys, we are able to give free products to organizations that assist with their fund raising efforts. I am here to announce that we will continue this effort. Through Bark For Awareness 2 we will give away hundreds of free Official Vick Dog Chew Toys to reputable organizations that share our vision of giving back and raising awareness. Organizations will be able to register and win. It is competitive; we do not just hand them out. It is through the encouragement of competition that organizations can raise awareness and encourage voting through their contacts. Those votes help organizations gain exposure and WIN!

I have committed to my business partner that I will get out of the business end of running this company and get more involved with you. I have been reviewing the comments and feedback form Facebook and other sources and I am humbled. I very much appreciate the attention, the fan base, and the love that you share. I also appreciate the outrage, because it shows that you share my same disgust for those that abuse and that you have the fortitude to voice your discontent. That is the spirit of The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy!

Hello Official Vick Dog Chew Toy Fans! We are BACK! The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy is HERE AGAIN!
Welcome to a new NFL season. We are so excited. I first want to thank each and every one of you that helped support The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy in 2009. What a great season full of competition and give a ways! Second, I want to thank all of you that helped to keep The Official Dog going throughout the off season. We had tremendous success while the NFL slept and that allowed us to continue with our commitment to give back and to raise awareness. YOU never stopped and neither did we! Awesome Job!
Here we go to the 2010 / 2011 season. What an awesome time it will be! Will our most hated abuser win a starting spot on the Eagles, now that McNabb is a Redskin? We will soon find out.
The new season brings us all the opportunity to increase our awareness of the atrocities associated with animal abuse, gives us all the opportunity to bite back and help those that care for abused and neglected animals across this great Country and allows us at Aim To Beginn to help foster the relief efforts through FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toy giveaways!
Much like we did throughout 2008 and 2009, we at Aim To Beginn want to utilize our product, born out of the atrocious actions of an NFL star, to help those that care for pets that cannot care for themselves. Michael Vick Involved in Shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Michael Vick was interviewed by a detective Monday about a shooting that took place outside a nightclub where he had celebrated his birthday, a Virginia Beach Police spokesman said. The spokesman, Adam Bernstein, said the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback is not a suspect, and no arrest has been made in Friday’s early morning shooting. One man was wounded. Vick was accompanied on the police interview by his lawyer, Larry Woodward.

Really? I’m reading this out loud and wondering to myself, why? Why would you invite hundreds of people to your birthday party at a night club? I’m not that old but I know that every birthday I have had, has been in a place of comfort, like a house or a backyard, a beach, or even a Chucky Cheese.

“He said he wasn’t involved, he was gone before the shooting took place, and he doesn’t know who did the shooting,” Woodward said in a telephone interview.

What else can the man say except, “It wasn’t me” He said the same thing when he was indicted on dog fighting allegations and how could anyone possibly believe that he had “nothing” to do with this incident. Let me guess, we have to now live our lives believing that Michael Vick will never be involved with anything inappropriate for the rest of his life? Give me a break.

I don’t understand that you have this great second chance in life, as stated by Michael Vick, and yet your inviting hundreds of people / celebrities to a night club to announce your one year older?? Some people just don’t get it. Sit home, work out, get ready for the next practice. Stop being an idiot and have your homeboy show up an hour late, just to get shot up.
